Meet Max

Beginning his carer as a Shipwright in 2007, Max Marian started 26 South Marine 13 years later as he could see there was need for a complete boat building and repair service on the Sunshine Coast offering old fashioned service coupled with a new fashioned skill set.

“Having grown up on the coast, I’ve always been drawn to the water, starting my sailing journey at just 7 years old. This lifelong passion naturally led me to pursue a career in the maritime industry, and in 2007, I began my journey as a Shipwright.

In founding 26South Marine, I recognised the need for a comprehensive boat building and repair service on the Sunshine Coast—one that blends traditional values of craftsmanship with modern, cutting-edge skills.

At 26South Marine, no project is too big, too small, or too diverse. Our team is committed to delivering exceptional results with every job.

We specialise in high-quality composite manufacturing, encompassing everything from custom builds and rebuilds to repairs and CNC routing. Our capabilities include constructing the SEATREK 5900 boats, among other custom projects.

With over 20 years of industry experience, I’ve had the privilege of contributing to 16 custom builds ranging from 20ft to 65ft, collaborating with renowned designers like Roger Hill, Schionning, and Farrier. Some of the notable projects I’ve been part of include:
